Best equipment for footwear

For over 35 years Miver has been supplying footwear factories with new or second-hand machinery and accessories, and offering consultancy and technical services. Located in Elda (Alicante) it reaches all major footwear production centers in Spain and is also present internationally in Portugal, Ecuador, Mexico, Morocco, and India.

Ever since its early beginnings it has been the exclusive representative of Italian Ormac, Sabal, Besser and other machinery producers for the footwear sector. So it has grown along with them and in addition to marketing the best conventional machinery brands it is the official distributor of Swiss Zünd cutting systems, known for their accurate, fast automatic cut. These systems are also very stable and solid.

Very much aware of the need for special software for digital cutting systems, Miver has created its own MIVERCUT, reliable, accurate, and compatible with CAD systems  used in the footwear making sector. Design is intuitive, minimalist, and helps people work with greater speed and precision.

Miver is known for offering manufacturers excellent, comprehensive services, making this complex task of manufacturing quality footwear so much more efficient. Manager Enrique Hilillo points out: “Impeccable, efficient technical service is so important to us. Our company always prioritizes our clients’ needs, as if they were our own”.

Consultancy and support, a strong point

One of the pillars of Miver’s success is the excellent service they offer clients who need to identify their technologic needs. Miver’s know-how in terms of the latest machinery and equipment developments, and their expertise in old machine versions, means they can offer clients the best recommendations as to what they need, at the lowest possible cost. In addition, post-sales services include specialized training so that operators can make the most of the new machine.

The company’s “360° coverage” means the whole life cycle of a machine will be taken into account, whether for buying, repairing or replacing machines at the best possible price.

Services also evolved and include a study of the space, budget and type of product manufactured, in addition to designs, efficient use of resources and technologies (availability, adaptability to human team, energy efficient machines, low-cost solutions, etc.). The purpose is to offer clients ready-made solutions in ready-to-use machines always adapted to their needs.

Miver’s latest highlight in the history of the company has been the collaboration in the design of Selecta, by Ormac. The heel seat/side and ball/waist area lasting machine is based on a new system and mechanical items that incorporate cement tracers close to helical rolls driven by controllable hydraulic pressures.  This means simple use and precision for lasting and leveling of the upper on the insole for any type of upper and/or leather types. Selecta is available in different versions: all-thermo-plastic injection, or injection-nailing combined.
